The Automatic Telephone System in London

A 24-page booklet issued to subscribers on the introduction of automatic (Strowger) exchanges.

This is undated but, judging from the illustrations, it looks to be from about the 1920's?

Note particularly the reference on page 5 where users are introduced to the latest innovation - a "dial" on their telephone!

The scanned images of the pages presented here are quite highly compressed to minimise download times - at the cost of some quality; we hope that this will not spoil your enjoyment too much!
